Song of joy
There is a robin who is singing his heart out, day after day. After a couple of days I can see him in the tree, recognising the read breast. The song is so beautiful.
I see him daily and I greet him daily. I know he wants to be part of this - he so wants to be heard. This time you will hear him sing and not me.
This is the Robin from last time. He wants me to share again this meeting we had a few years ago.
Robin
I met a Robin today
It wasn't until I turned around
and saw the branch he had
sat on moving, that I realised I had
startled him. I wonder what he
had said if I had seen him first
I met a Robin today
I saw a bird jumping into the hedge
next to the bush/tree he had sat on
I saw him a few times and told him
I was sorry to have frightened him
cause I never meant to
I met a Robin today
I told him, my heart told him,
how happy I was to see him
I came closer, just to see if
I could catch a glimpse of him
or if he had already flown
I met a Robin today
He was waiting, listening
and when he felt my heart
he flew out of the hedge
Not too close, but not away
He stopped, sat and turned to me
I met a Robin today
He wanted me to see him
He wanted me to know
that he could see me
and feel my heart. He said:
Thank you! And took off
