Being grateful
Today's my grans birthday. She would have been 105. I think of her a lot. She gave me a lot, her and my grandad. They had nine (!!!) kids. Most of their lives lived a long way away from shops and the main village. They only had a few houses nearby. Still my gran said it was easier for her than for me. She had to wash their clothes in a small burn - winter and summer. Winters can get to -30ish in that part of Sweden. They all lived in a houses that had 1 room and a kitchen. Toilet outside - come snow and ice and freezing days. I was fortunate to live with them for 2 1/2 years. I was fortunate to get to know them properly, 💞
Bluest of blue
When I say this flower I think of her, my gran. This flower is exquisite. Beautiful in a blue colour that I have not seen anywhere else. It always blooms in late autumn. This year later than normal, due to the very warm weather. Gorgeous! Worth waiting for! I praise the arrival and certainly feel privileged to meet it every year. The beauty astounds me. Welcome!
Swedish: "Liten. Blå. Vacker. Jag är här och det räcker. Varje år. Hej igen!"
English: "Wee. Blue. Beautiful. Here I am and that's enough. Every year. Hi again!"
